Brief respite
Its outfield again, doing war-like stuff, pretending that there's some sort of enemy entrenched somewhere, and you gotta react and neutralise the threat-- that kinda of thing. Oh wells, support platoon had a nice early bookout, probably after lunch, while I was stuck out in the nice green forests of S'pore. I suppose thats good and bad. Good is that i dun hafta see the bunch of them sitting in the training shed doing nothing and sleeping the whole day away, while I am sweating myself out trying to do 5 things simultaneously in face of an impending attack. Bad thing is that they freaking booked out damn early. And their specialist still got the cheek to send a sms to my PS, teasing him over whether the weather outfield nice or not.
Worked till 12+am, and reached back camp like 1am. Then the good news came from my PC that we get to book out at 6 am in the morning after breakfast. So we slept like 2+ after having a good bathe to wash out all those sian-ed green camouflage cream of our faces, and then woke up like 5.30 am to fall in. That's like 3 hours of sleep?
But then again, without the stupid support platoon there doing slacking off, I think our platoon got a little closer to one another, thanks to the forces of unity arising from collectively being ultra pissed off with support platoon.
Oh well, at least I'm at home now, enjoying a little material comfort, having staggered back home at around 8 am. Bad news once again: gotta go back at 9pm.. to prepare for more outfield tml- yes, a sunday. Zzz..
Wonder why would anyone want to go to war? If you had to remain as a uber low ranked soldier.. would you like it? Like the job the rubbish collector, its an essential job, but no one wants to do it. Given a free market situation, demand for such services would be quite high, but supply would be low. In terms of wages, a person willing to do such a job would be able to secure quite a good wage. Unfortunately, it does not appear to be the case that such jobs are paid enough, and as such no one wants to do it. Afterall, the service that you provide has negligible benefits to yourself..
Incredible how so many people are so short sighted.. in spite of the path in front of their feet, leading clearly to the desired goal.
Btw, happy 19th birthday joli.
